A Txakoli to enjoy the moment
Vineyard
The landscape of Basarte, fed by several natural springs of iron-rich water that can be seen in the redness of the earth, is located in the municipality of Bakio, with a proud tradition of Txakoli production in the 20th century. A vineyard that benefits from a second week of ripening, which always brings a degree of complexity and elegance.
Characteristics
100% Hondarrabi Zuri Zerratie. Spontaneous fermentation with light skin contact for 4–5 days, followed by aging for a month and a half in foudre. Despite being a vintage marked by great ripeness, it shows a pale straw-yellow color. On the nose, it stands out for its intense aromas of yellow flowers, white and stone fruit, herbal notes such as sage or tea leaf, and subtle honeyed nuances.
Tasting notes
Fresh and silky on entry, gaining weight as it moves across the palate. It shows breadth and texture, balanced by lively acidity, with fruity and herbal nuances. The finish is long and subtle, with hints of nuts such as hazelnut, derived from its light aging in foudre. A txakoli from the Gernika parcel with excellent gastronomic potential.
